Another 100 plus superb Partnership of Rayhan Mahroof and Manav Nayak in their 2nd ECBu15 Match

Spring Sports Academy U15 fell just short of an amazing run chase in their 2nd ECB Match.

It was a day of heavy scoring with giants Desert Cubs Hawks taking on Spring Sports.

Batting first DCCA scored 181 with Sakhtivelu anchoring the innings with 47. Spring was in control with their excellent bowling till 21st over. But the game changed with big-hitting of Nikash who scored 48 of just 18 balls.

Chasing a big total Springs did not have a great start with Nagarjun running himself out for 7. With Maanav Nayak joining Rayhan Mahroof, they crafted their 2nd consecutive 100 plus run partnership. Under hot/humid conditions, they milked singles and doubles all over the ground along with excellent shots to cross the ropes and nearly chased the impossible target with ease. Both fell after scoring their half-centuries plus. Springs lost the plot somewhere around the 20th to 21st over when only 6 runs were accumulated.

In the end, they could not get the big hits and Desert Cubs won the battle by 6 Runs. It was a valiant effort by Springs which was lauded by the opponent players and parents.
